Since September 2008, fairtrade GmbH & Co. KG in Germany has introduced the ISO quality management standards, to be rewarded with the ISO 9001:2008 certificate in April 2009. The next step is the introduction of the same standard at EURL fairtrade expo in Algiers and its certification still in 2009.
 
Another target: For alger telecom 09, fairtrade applies to “earn the ‘UFI Approved Event’ quality label as certification of the highest level of professional exhibition standards” (UFI The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry). UFI was founded in Paris in 1925 and is now the world’s leading association of trade fair organisers and industry partners.
 
As the provision of data which have been verified by independent auditors is one of the cornerstones of the quality standards of UFI Approved Events, all alger telecom 09 statistical data will be audited by KPMG Algiers.
